The voting function is designed for community-driven decision making in the GET ecosystem. This feature provides an environment where GET holders can actively participate in the development of entertainment projects and the entire GET ecosystem.
The introduction of the GET voting function has the following objectives.
The voting function consists of the following two voting patterns. To support the ecosystem growth, the mechanism allocates funds to projects according to the votes of GET holders. It directly reflects the opinions of users to achieve democratic and transparent management.
Project proposals Project proposers who wish to participate in the ecosystem and procure GET need to formulate and submit the following requirements on the platform. The proposals will be posted on the platform and available to all users.
①Project details, business plan, schedule and roadmap
②Desired procurement quantity
③Details of returns to the ecosystem
Voting participation 1 GET = 1 vote is granted. Voting influence is proportional to the quantity of GET held. Users and communities holding GET review the proposal and vote ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ the proposal. By participating in the voting, users and communities can earn the ‘Voting rewards’ described below.
Execution of voting results
If the number of ‘Yes’ votes exceeds the number of ‘No’ votes, the Foundation allocates GET to the proposed project. After GET is provided, the projects are required to submit progress reports.
Ensuring transparency
GET committee conducts the scoring of the proposer's past performance and credibility prior to the start of voting, and the results will be made public on the platform. All voting results will also be made public, and activities in the GET ecosystem will also become a new achievement.
GET holders vote on decisions for entertainment-related projects (e.g. live events, merchandise production, sequencing of content distribution, etc.). This ensures that events and products reflect user feedback.
Examples of voting subjects
Details of live events: Selection of venues and performers, coordination of dates, etc.
Merchandise production: Selection of design and line-up.
Order of distribution content: Community decides on the priorities for video and music distribution.
Voting conditions
A combination of the following conditions sets the eligibility and influence of the vote.
Point consumption: A certain amount of GET points are spent per vote (crowdfunding element).
GET holdings: Entitlement to vote for GET holders above a certain amount of GET.
NFT ownership: Specific NFTs holder obtain priority voting rights and additional votes.
Ensuring transparency
Voting results and progress will be displayed in real time on the platform. Project status will be updated as it progresses, creating an environment where supporters can see the result of their projects.
The specific user experience for the voting participation process is shown below.
Voters can receive a certain amount of GET as a reward. In addition, voting projects may also offer returns, such as NFTs to voters. Bonuses distribution for users who contribute in a greater amount of votes and frequency is under planning.
